This week we have been passing a nasty virus among us. You know how it works. One person comes down with something (Andrew), then it hops to its next victim (Sarah), onto Elizabeth, Patrick and probably eventually me (though I hope not). Andrew spent 3 days home from school. His cough got so bad he was throwing up. Neither Sarah or Elizabeth got it that bad, thankfully, but they are all on albuteral (sp?) to help clear out their lungs. Needless to say it has been a long week for us all. And they are still coughing so it's not over.
On a funny note, Elizabeth came in this morning with something all over her face so I asked her what she got into and she responded "Trouble". I can agree to that, I just still don't know to what extent. I am sure I will discover something that she got into in the weeks to come. Elizabeth has also enjoyed praying recently, which is so precious. She makes sure we even cover everyone in the family with blessings before nap and bed, including Grandmas. Patrick and I will say "We pray you would bless..." to which she interjects the person she wants to pray for. Sometimes numerous times. She also likes policing our meal time prayers. We all have to hold hands, per her suggestion (we used to just fold our hands) as well, if anyone opens their eyes she is prompt to say their name in rebuke. The irony is to see that one of us has opened our eyes she has to have her eyes open, but we don't tell her. We just enjoy the innocence of her beginning to understand a relationship with Jesus.
We will all be rooting for the Steelers tomorrow, though we have a soft spot in our hears for the Cardinals. Since we live in the state where they are from and they have been so bad for so long you have to kind of root for them. Patrick has been a Steelers fan for as long as he can remember though, so they are the preferred team.
