He was swinging outside on his stomach and somehow flipped out of the swing and fractured his shin bone in 2 places. I wish I could take a picture of the x-ray, but I don't know how to do that. Neither of the fractures went all the way through the bone thankfully, but he will be in a cast until the end of September. He didn't have a mark on his leg and it never bruised or swelled. Weird! He couldn't put any weight on it though so we took him to the urgent care just to make sure where they did an x-ray and confirmed that he did indeed break his leg. The Dr. put him in a half cast and the next day we took him into another Dr. who put the cast on. He choose black because he thought it looked spooky. Patrick wants to paint the steelers logo on his knee. Poor little guy is doing better getting around and we are homeschooling which is good as he would have had to miss at least a week of school. He is in a walking cast, but won't put any weight on it yet. That I am sure will come with time.
