What to do when it's hot

Well, its starting to heat up here. I am actually suprised it hasn't happened sooner, but we are hitting summer here in AZ, officially. The kids play on their swing set early in the morning and in the evenings now. Sarah and Andrew enjoy the double swing, and get it up really high. Elizabeth loves her little swing too. She has also enjoyed her new freedom with her now skill of walking. No longer is she content to just sit in the swing. She wants out to walk around. Andrew is especially good at walking around with her. Too cute, as you can see via the picture. I just have to make sure she doesn't put anything foreign into her mouth.

A funny thing I have discovered this week is that Andrew says "pupcake" instead of "cupcake". We went to a church carnival that had a little cake walk for the kids with cupcakes and Andrew kept referring to them as "pupcakes". I have to guess that it comes from the Strawberry Shortcake cartoons where Strawberry Shortcake has a dog named "pupcake" and He has transferred it to the actual food. Either way its cute.

Elizabeth is picking up words well lately. Currently she says: "more please, up, Andrew (though it comes out more like Adroo), Sarah, out, boo (which refers to swinging because Patrick tells her boo when he swings her), book, cup, milk and of course Mom and Dad. She is 15 months old and just seems to grow so quick. She is also walking really well. I did take some video with our camera but I turned the camera on its side (as I usually do to take pictures and then turn them later) however you can't turn video, at least that I have figured out yet, so all the video is sideways. Oops. I'll have to try and take some more.

And on a sad note, the little birds in my last post have disappeared. I don't know what happened to them but the day after I took the pictures I went to check on them and they were all gone. I am sure another bird or snake got them. Poor little guys.

Fantastic work Julie on the blog, great layout and pictures. Your write ups tell it all.

Since we can't be there we really enjoy seeing what the kids are doing.

Keep up the good work
