Here in AZ we have what is known as the "Monsoon" season. It is really the only time of the year we get rain, and when we get it it isn't just a little sprinkle, but more of a downpour that causes flash flooding. Our yard happens to be somehow lower than the others in our area and when it rains becomes part of the rushing water moving downstream. Here is a video of it. I kid you not it looks like a rushing river. The water runs really fast too, so could probably sweep the kids away if they were to go play in it. The bad part is it pools out in front of our house and rushes under it doing who knows what kind of damage. We need to figure out a way to divert the water away from our house and into the yard, which I don't care about it flooding. If you have any ideas, let me know!
Andrew starts school in 9 days and counting... His school collects Box Tops so if you happen to see any at your house and want to mail them to us to donate to his school then please do. They are on products like Cheerios, Nature Valley Bars, El Paso Taco Shells, Scott Tissue. You can check out more info and view a list of products Here. Might as well help the schools out in as many ways as we can.
