Well, goodness we have been busy. Last week the kids went to a VBS at a local church in town. They had a blast and have been singing the songs that they learned ever since. Thankfully they are all good songs and we all have fun singing them together and doing all the hand motions.
Andrew starts school a month from tomorrow. Yikes! What happened to my little guy. That is hard to believe. Sniff, Sniff...I'll probably have a harder time with it than he will.
Andrew and Sarah were discussing yesterday how you can't see Jesus in your heart and how He just lives in there. Sarah wanted to see him in her heart, and Andrew responded "Jesus lives in our hearts because He loves us". Super sweet. What a true statement to take home as well, from the mouth of a child.
This weekend we are texturing our walls. This has been a 3 year process. I started taping the wall seems 2 years ago before I got pregnant with Elizabeth. Then when I got pregnant throwing up all day and night kind of doused the enthusiasm. Now we are back on the wagon and hoping to get the main rooms of the house done this weekend. So I have been working the last couple of days to get everything ready so all we have to do is spray the texture on. I'm hoping it won't take too long, but house projects are never as easy as you think.
We also purchased a Wii 2 weeks ago. We had a yard sale before Father's day so I could raise money to buy it, not realizing how rare they are. I couldn't find one before fathers day, so Patrick didn't get it on that day but he was promised one eventually. Two Sundays ago Target had them on sale so we called over to find out if they had any and sure enough they had one still in stock so we ran over and got it. This last Monday however it stopped working. Since it was only 2 weeks old we decided to just return it and get a new one. They happened to have them in stock at our local Game Stop so now we are back on track. I am actually surprised how fun it is and I am soar from playing it. Patrick and I have a lot of fun playing each other at tennis and swimming and whatever else we can find to play.
So that's whats been going on at our house. Happy 4th of July to everyone and thank you to everyone in the military for all your sacrifices. We are so thankful for you! And so thankful to live in a free country.
