Two Troublemakers

I have discovered since Andrew has started attending school that the two girls are troublemakers. They sneak around the house getting into more mischief than two little girls ages 3 and 18 months should logically be able to get into. Andrew apparently kept them out of trouble. If they started to do something he knew was wrong he would stop them. Now that he is at school though there is no conscience to keep the girls in order. It is actually pretty humerus the amount of trouble they get into.

Yesterday I was working on reorganizing some cabinets in the kitchen and was going through our candy cabinet. I found 4 packs of really old trident gum some old half eaten blow pops, a cookie from Christmas plus other old candy. All of this went into the trash and anticipating the mischievous nature of my two girls told Sarah that all the stuff I had just put in the trash was really old and really gross so to stay away from it or it might make her sick. Well, the warning was not heeded and after not hearing from either of them for about 10 minutes I went on the hunt only to find both of them hiding in Sarah's closet finishing off the last pack of gum. She had been speed chewing and then stuffing the chewed gum into her mega blocks. Elizabeth also had gum in her mouth. The whole room was covered in gum wrappers. I only wish I would have gotten a picture, but I had no idea what I was going to find. Elizabeth also appeared with the half eaten blow pop in her mouth and was really upset when I took it away from her.
Last week they took all of the board games out and dumped them all over the floor. That was fun to clean up. It's non-stop fun in the Tompkins house! I need a way to keep them busy!

In other news:
We spent last Sat. at the lake. It was nice to get away and enjoy some good family time. There were so many caterpillars around. I have included a picture I like to call "Caterpillar find". See how many you can find. I found at least 13, though I know there are many more.

The kids at the lake. Sarah didn't want her picture taken.

Andrew and Elizabeth who didn't mind their pictures taken

The girls.

Caterpillar find - the picture below this one has the caterpillar's I could find circled.
