Each year we take the kids to a local church that holds an alternative to Halloween harvest festival. They do a really good job, have food, lots of booths for the kids to play for candy, and a hay ride. We have gone the last 3 years though each of the previous years we haven't really emphasized the day, just said that it was something fun to do. They had not ever wanted to dress up but this year they wanted too. All year they talked about going this year and dressing up. Well, the big day finally came and they got to dress up and go to the festival. Andrew was Superman, Sarah was Wonder Woman, and Elizabeth...well, she was just cute. Elizabeth really got into playing the games and she did really good. Andrew always does really well and yearly wins a ring toss where you have to ring a 2 liter of soda. He didn't disappoint this year either. Sarah does well too. She has quite an arm on her as one of the pictures shows of her knocking down bottles.
The church we go to here in town also had a carnival so we stopped by that one as well. It was put on by the youth group and was fun as well. They had a drawing that all the kids entered and each of them won a prize. I never win anything, but all 3 of the kids won a prize. So they did pretty well.
Elizabeth playing a game
"Where's my candy?"
Andrew, faster than a speeding bullet. His belt lights up which he loved.
Sarah knocking down bottles. The ball is right on target.
All three, anxious to leave. I didn't really get a good picture of all of them together, but you get the idea.
The "Super Friends" ready to go out and save the town
