Elizabeth waving to everyone
Andrew and Sarah watching the parade.
Decorating went by so fast that I didn't get any pictures of them actually putting up anything. Maybe I can have them stage it. Anyway, getting them to sit in one place and all look in the same direction for a picture was a task too. I don't think I actually ever succeeded. Maybe before Christmas.
My parents came down for Thanksgiving. Patrick and my Dad fried a turkey for dinner. It was very good. Even two days later its still moist and not at all fried tasting. It also only took about 1 hour to cook which was also good. No more waiting all day to eat turkey. The only downside was that we didn't have turkey broth to make gravy so we decided to use the giblets to make the gravy...not a good idea in our opinion. It did not come out good. Next time we'll use chicken broth.
The cooks
We also celebrated Christmas early with my parents. They brought a huge doll house that my Dad redid for the girls. They love it and have been having lots of fun playing in it. I had found a ton of doll furniture and dolls at a local thrift store last month, so now they have a home. You can see the before and after pictures at my Mom's blog. The kid's playing with the new house. They also got shirts, and individual toys one of which is a pull caterpillar for Elizabeth that my Dad made.
So we had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and month of November.
Kid update: Andrew is reading in school now and sounds out words all over town. It is so exciting to see how excited he gets as he learns new things. Elizabeth is talking more and more too, and has finally gotten her last 4 teeth. It seems that she learns a new word or more a day which she incorporates into more phrases. Sarah helps me do everything she can around the house. Bake, clean, laundry, whatever I am doing she wants to help. She has also been making up a lot of songs about Jesus which blesses our hearts as well. Just tonight she was singing me her newest song. I only really understood the last line which was "and Jesus lives in my heart." So precious. Now we head into the Christmas season. Hopefully I will be able to update more...we'll see :)
