Elizabeth's 2nd Birthday

Sooo, Elizabeth turned 2 yesterday (March 8th). She didn't get a one year party due to 2+ weeks of illness last year, and this year I had planned to take her to the zoo in Tucson with just the family as something special, which would have resulted in no party this year either. So after our Tucson trip was canceled due to high winds (we didn't feel the zoo would be fun in 30mph winds) I decided last minute on Saturday to throw together a party for her on Sunday. This included making a cake and inviting a few close friends over. We are really thankful that some people don't mind last minute parties (Joan our neighbor and adopted grandmother and our good friends the Galindo's). So with the cake made and friends invited we successfully pulled off a nice birthday party. Everyone came over for cake and ice cream Sunday afternoon and Elizabeth with her balloons and presents had a nice time.

Elizabeth got a bunny that sings "Jesus Loves Me", some Disney books and a doll. She has another present coming in the mail that hasn't arrived yet. She was so happy.

So it was a successful birthday. Elizabeth was a special girl and we all had a fun time.
