Kids and some recent kiddiums

So I love learning life through the kids eyes all over again. Sometimes we take for granted what we know. This week we had 2 stray puppies appear in our yard. I have no idea where they came from and they seemed to have never been around humans before because every time I tried to catch them they would run away. It took me 2 days and finally Patrick's help to catch them. We took them to our local animal shelter where I am sure they will find good homes because they were so darn cute. Anyway, the first time we discovered them Sarah and Elizabeth were looking outside and Sarah exclaims "Mom, Connor had puppies." Of course I know this can't be true because Connor is a boy, but she just saw two puppies following Connor around our yard and that had to be the explanation right??

Yesterday we were at Walmart and Andrew asks me "where did the puppy eggs that Connor laid go". He has been learning about eggs in school and apparently he too thought Connor had the puppies, but via eggs. I explained to him that dogs 1. don't lay eggs and 2. Connor was a boy so he couldn't lay eggs even if it was possible. An older man got a kick out of our conversation because I saw him chuckling to himself after listening to our talk.

Elizabeth has been coming into her own personality lately. This includes throwing a tantrum every time we go shopping because she wants to sit in the basket part of the cart and not the part that you are supposed to sit in. It also includes some pretty funny things. This weekend she came in to tell me something and Patrick started talking to her to figure out what she was saying to which she responded "I'm talking to Mom not you." Little stinker... Then later she went up to Patrick and said "How you doin'?" To which Patrick responded "How you doin'?" To which she responded while walking away "Don't copy me." She has quite a strong personality.

This weekend our church is having an Easter egg hunt on Saturday with a carnival of games and a BBQ. The kids are really excited about. I'll try and get some pictures.

Our big news is that we are thinking about home schooling in the fall. It's not that we are unhappy with the current school, we just want more for our kids. Picking a curriculum is proving a little challenging. Some are so expensive and I just don't know what will work best for our family. I think we are going to attend a conference in Phoenix in July to get a better idea of some of the curriculum's and what home schooling looks like. I'm excited though to see what happens.

Thats all for now! Happy Resurrection Sunday!
